Beat the taxman with low carbon 99g/km Audi A3

Introduction of the latest environmental technology means the Audi A3 1.6 TDI manual can now achieve CO2 emissions of 99g/km making it exempt from Vehicle Excise Duty.

The combination of start-stop technology, recuperation and innovations from the Modular Efficiency Platform has once again raIsed the bar on efficiency.

To achieve 99g/km CO2 the A3 (3-dr) 1.6 TDI has been modified to include; low rolling resistance tyres, longer 5th gear ratio on the manual 5-speed transmission, slightly lower chassis and specially designed under-body to reduce aerodynamic drag.

The Audi A3 1.6 TDI with 99g output will be available exclusively in Standard specification, which in this specific case includes 15-inch 7-arm design alloy wheels (normally 16-inch 7-arm design), manual air conditioning, remote central locking, electric front windows and a Chorus radio with single CD player.
