Exciting times ahead for North East Audi

It was announced on Friday 14th October that Colebrook and Burgess, who trade as North East Audi, has been acquired by Benfield Motor Group.

This is good news for North East Audi and our customers. Our day to day operations remain unchanged yet we will benefit from the additional expertise and resources of Benfield Motor Group.

Nigel McMinn, Benfield’s Managing Director, will be taking immediate and direct operational control of the business. Nigel McMinn said: “This is a very strong business and we would look to let it carry on doing what it has been doing and add to it wherever we can.”

Andrew Maidwell and John Hutton, Colebrook’s previous owners and directors, have decided to pursue other interests outside of the motor industry.

Managing director Maidwell said: “We have given careful consideration to the best options for the business and its employees. Benfield Motor Group is an independently family-owned business based in the North East and one with very similar values to our own.

“From a personal point of view it was very important to me that the new owners of the business would be capable of developing the business further and continue to deliver excellent service to our customers well into the future.”
